Tradition & Events:
The customs and traditions of Lachania are well preserved with the local youth participating with singing and dancing at regular scheduled public events.
Small festivals take place regularly during the summer months with great success and attendance from tourists and locals.
5th May - The festivity of Aghia Eirini (St. Irene) which is marked by a church service followed by the usual cultural events and traditional dances and songs.
The 1st weekend of August - The wheat festival.
